Pencilskirts

He emphasizes the female character and is therefore totally feminine and of course also sexy. We know it as a classic business look, but now the pencilskirt is discovered with bright colors, bold patterns and other materials. Therefore the pencilskirt may not be absent in your wardrobe. In the new variations it is really suitable for all types and can be worn in almost all situations.

With the pencilskirt, all the new trends, such as pastel, pattern or even jeans are taken up. You should wear it with high shoes (pumps) so that your legs look even longer (additionally caused by the high waist). For the brave ones: you can show some skin with short tops.

Braided loop-muffler – here it is

I am done, here it is, my first diy in 2012. It’s relatively easy to do the braided loop-muffler at home: buy thick wool, braid some strings, connect everything, done, that’s how it works in the short version. :-)

I realy have to say, it keeps me warm and I love this color! The muffler has friends already and so I am working on the next models in black and beige.

DIY: Der geflochtene Loop-Schal

DIY - My new most loved muffler.

Good night?

“No, I don’t want to go to bed and I’m not exactly out of bed.” You have to expect to give this answer a couple of times, if you join this trend: pajama pants.

I’ve read about it last year and to be honest: I was very surprised. After read about it a second time, I think it’s important to pick up this issue.

So the pajama pants are worn really on the street. Those who prefer something fancier, can take satin pants. The casual look is achieved with cotton pants.

Pants are preferred with a distinctive pattern. Therefore it’s clear: This trend needs a good dose of courage! But what clothes can be combined with a pajama pants?

Since the pants brings much attention (that’s for sure), the other pieces should create a balance. So for example you can wear a narrow upper part to create a contrast to the wirde pajama pants. Also, a white blouse can be worn to. If you take pants with a distinctive pattern, you should be reserved with the other clothes. This means to wear clothes with only one clolour. You can wear a nice blazer, which gives the outfit a great chic and don’t forget high shoes, e.g. pumps or high heels.

Blazer: Second Female | POWDER – Blazer – black (ca. 60 €)

Blouse: LA CITY | MAMBO – Tunika – blanc (ca. 35 €)

Pyjama pants: Tommy Hilfiger | RAFAELA – Wäsche – grey heather (ca. 50 €)

Pumps: Zign | Pumps – black (ca. 70 €)

Here are some examples for you:

But what interested me the most of course: What do you think of this trend? Would you wear something like that on the street? Or do you think this trend is totally nonsense. I’m curious ;)

Red, Baby!

Okay, I took Toris post  serious and got a red pants. I cannot wear 100% red at work (serious danger of heart attack for my colleagues, outside of Berlin it might be a bit to critical) but I wanted to bring a piece of the red world into my daily life. I combine my red pants with a white shirt or a black turtleneck to make it look like a well-behaved fashion item of this season, like this I wear it at work. That’s it with the theory. In practice you have to wear some self-esteem too, for being able to handle the views from others. Last year I already showed up in red tights, so people are used to things like this from me and can handle that quite easy. Red is fun, I do not wear intense color often but they just create high spirits, I can recommend it!

llgf on the Stijl 2012 in Mainz

On Saturday morning Yuki, Bekiko and I went to the Stijl in Mainz and it was bitter cold. Even in the morning hundred of peoples stand in front of the old post camp to be one of the first and to get hold of the best pieces. The best things are off early and other booths have special offers and reduced items to the fair, which are sold out quickly.

But the Stijl offers more than just discounted fashion. Even more it is a platform for trends and styles of young designers. In recent years, the Stijl  seems to grow and is fun for young and old. I noticed that also the older generation takes place at the event. Maybe this duw to the jewelry designer or artists, who sell accessories that make up a large part in the hall.

Who is looking for a fancy T-shirt, a nice piece of jewelry or a little gimmick to give away is at the right place: the Stijl. Although the Stijl itself sees as the center for fashion, sports and design in the Rhein-Main area, for high fashion you are looking without avail. A visit is definitely value.

Here are some impressions of the fair, which has open their doors the whole weekend .

shopping gems

Two new shopping gems: both with stars. I love the scarf with stars. The delicate color combined with black stars has taken a shine to me. The fabric is very fine and the fact that the scarf is so long makes it possible to wrap it several times around the neck.

Scarf with stars by Only (ca. 17 €)

Suitable for that I’ve found on the same day a star ring. It actually are two narrow rings (one matte and one glossy). Sometimes I only wear one. So it looks a little more discreet.

In progress

… my first diy 2012, the braided muffler. Here are first pictures for you, it’s in progress.

What 2012 brings us – Part 5: pattern

What will we wear in 2012? We have dealt more accuratet with this issue. How sould the things be wear? With which things can they be combined and the most important question: Which are the must haves and were can I buy it? I will present you the trends of 2012 in several parts. Today: pattern.

The prints are back. It all began with the Celine Resort collection 2012 and now they are everywhere.

How to combine these?
Prints are an eye catcher, so caution is necessary here. More is quickly too much. So rather combine with solid parts, which can be in loud colors.

Which fabrics are used?
You can not limit this trend to special fabrics. Everything that is printable is printed :)

My favorite pieces?
I think the issue is really a matter of taste. If you like floral patterns or the simple ones is your choice but one thing is clear: It attracts attention!

What 2012 brings us – Part 4: mermaids

What will we wear in 2012? We have dealt more accuratet with this issue. How sould the things be wear? With which things can they be combined and the most important question: Which are the must haves and were can I buy it? I will present you the trends of 2012 in several parts. Today: mermaids.

We dive into the depths of the sea. White is combined with delicate, shimmering fabrics and colors. The look of the mermaid is created with lots of beads and sequins and it’s not only wearable for the swimming season.

How to combine these?
We combine very delicate and cool colors, e.g. Aqua-green, with white. So heavy colors are taboo in this combination. Among the accessories, it can then be quietly playful (e.g. with beads or shells).

Which fabrics are used?
Falling, delicate fabrics are perfect for the cool colors that remind us of water. But of course sequins are often used to create the appearance of dandruff or a glittering water surface.

My favorite pieces?
I can already tell you: I like this trend . The delicate fabrics and shimmering feminine elements act simply wonderful. Here are the results of my search:

What 2012 brings us – Part 3: white

What will we wear in 2012? We have dealt more accuratet with this issue. How sould the things be wear? With which things can they be combined and the most important question: Which are the must haves and were can I buy it? I will present you the trends of 2012 in several parts. Today: white.

White is and will stay timeless. You can wear it everytime and with its light appearance it  introduce great for spring.

How to combine these?
What is special about the look is that it is worn completely in white. By straight cuts this can look very elegant.

Which fabrics are used?
There are no limits, whether opaque or transparent, playful or straight. Everything is allowed.

My favorite pieces?
I like the look with straight cuts. As a combination eg. a white drainpipe trousers and to a white blazer. This looks elegant and super serious.
