Red, red, red are all my clothes…

I recently saw something new on the streets of Berlin. Now everyone is all dressed in red – from coat to shoes.

The monochromatic look is striking and the good news is: in the morning, you do not have to worry whether the colours of your garments actually match ;)

I collected the finest parts in red. So happy combining!

arte TV-Tip: “Paul Smith, Gentleman Designer”

Last night arte showed a 55-minute documentary about Paul Smith. Paul Smith, who has noticed the time of pop art and Bauhaus, show us how he works with his team and which various things gave him inspiration. He uses old books from the 18th century, fairs and street markets in London to find ideas and turn them into exciting new collections. His fashion moves between classic and Brit-style acts, but always something subtle. On 5 December is the repetition and the online channel shows the documentary  for  the next 7 days.

Insight Men’s Holiday 11′

The Australian label Insight released his “Men’s Holiday 11″ collection. The collection show influences from different eras. For example, from the sixties, seventies and the working class of the nineties. The prints on the shirts look a little like “Jimi Hendrix” or “The Who”. The colors will be more covered. Brown, greens and saturated red looks more like military than on Flower power:) The mixture of these, fit very well into our time and therefore I like the collection. We will keep you up to date and hope the pieces are available at Urban Outfitters soon.

Store Opening: Bershka in Cologne

Bershka opened it’s second store in Germany this week. After the flagship store in Berlin, now people in Cologne can also shop at Bershka.

The store opened in Schildergasse 46-48. On aprox. 600 m², on two floors, you can shop as much as you want.

The core brand “Bershka” offers looks from the runway, “Trends” offers casual styles and for teens they have the brand “BSK”. Also guys can be excited – the store offers them sportive-casual looks for everyday.

I will come around on my next Cologne trip.

Who does not live in Cologne and can’t wait till the next trip – Bershka fashion is also available online: www.bershka.com

25 ways to wear a scarf

Yes I admit it… I’m addicted to scarves. Slowly the excuses for my boyfriend, why a woman needs 20 different scarves and towels and waste so much space in the closet, are gone. But no matter how many scarves I have – I wear them only in two different ways. Today we found the following video and I’m really excited in how many ways you can wear a scarf. Have fun trying :)

Versace already out of stock?

The Versace colletion for H & M is in stores as of this morning. Whoever was able to grab a hold of an entry wrist band was allowed to get in store at 8:00 am all others will need to wait until 10:00 am. They are the unlucky ones as meanwhile only small and large sizes are available. Furthermore, as I was told, men were only able to go into the mens’ section. So whoever sent their partner to get hold of one of the Versace pieces had to deal with security staff. They namely took care of everything going according to plan and watching out for people trying to leave the shop with a Versace without paying. Well, women can be quite a terrorist :). I personally did not expect this kind of rush and I am curious how many people I see wearing Versace when I go out Friday night .

Autumn favourite

My new Autumn favourite 2011 is from NoaNoa, the cardigan from the current Autumn collection comes with nice details with interspersed satin ribbons is on top of my wish list.

Twinkle, twinkle, little star

Now I wanted to do something good for my closet recently and I mucked out strongly. Today I see that I should keep a piece of clothing: My stars cardigan. Yes, they come back: the stars. On skirts, dresses, shoes, bags and as jewelry. What you learn from this? Sometimes you should not muck out too quickly :)

Fashion for the city

The urban knitting trend slowly comes to Germany. Knitting as a new form of street art, covers up trees, benches, lanterns, traffic lights or telephone booths in knitting. According to Wikipedia the first knitting group was called “Knitta Please” founded in Texas in 2005 (www.knittaplease.com). I saw this trend already in Antwerp; I think there it was a real guerilla action without permission. I thought it is super, when I saw the first urban knitting pieces in Wiesbaden, but in Germany nothing happens without permission. No cloak-and-dagger operation to make the city prettier. No, in Wiesbaden you meet up, have a coffee at Perfect Day, knit and talk about it. Also a nice thing. For one year now, Wiesbaden is “Social Business City”, that’s the motive for this action. With “Social Business City” social end economical problems should be solved entrepreneurial, a good cause. ho wants to see the pieces live, should visit Wiesbaden’s Langgasse and Kirchgasse until November 22nd.

And here is a video of the action:

Gaiters and fur leg warmer

You’ve probably seen it all: Boots with fur are the trend of the winter. Now I noticed a new trend on the streets of Berlin: Instead of directly buying boots with fur, normal boots are turned into fur boots by applying gaiters. The advantage: The Boots upgrade is cheap and you can wear the shoes in two ways – depending on your mood. I find that absolutely amazing. Here are some quick examples for your inspiration:

Back to school?

No, but we still want to have these school-style bags aka satchels.  They can be combined and  fit perfectly with the slightly masculine-inspired style, such as lace up shoes.

Good-bye to boring tights

Even in winter tights are a must have – but why stick to a single color? We found some very nice pictures which show that there are alternatives:
