An important appointment for all Vienna fashion fans:

MQ Summer of Fashion from 14.06. to 16.09. in the museums quarter of Vienna.

From Fashionshows, over designer presentations to exhibitions in the museums, and a fashionblogger-flea market, everything is taking place at museum quarter. The final highlight is the MQ VIENNA FASHION WEEK, from 12. to 16. September.

Should I book again the next flight to Vienna? When exactly? Or should I move into MQ? Well…

Loop-Muffler No. 3

After the loop-muffler got some friends, I got asked for a manual for it, I like to share it with you. Take one Sunday afternoon time to get to your loop-muffler.

Shopping list:

• 100m -120 m thick wool (approx. 10mm diameter)
• scissor
• measuring meter
• Big needle

You need seven steps to get to the muffler:

1.Buy approx. 100m thick wool. Keep 1,5-2m from the wool to connect everything in the end

2. Cut of 3 long threads, length 220cm . The length could vary, depending on the size of the loop, try it with one braid, then decide on the length.

3. Fold the threads in the center around a hook or door handle, so each thread is halved on a length of 110cm.

4. Start with braiding. 2 threads per line and braid a regular braid, close it with a knot at the end and cut of the sticking out threads.

I took 16-18 braids per loop muffler. Try how many you like for you muffler.

5. Now you braid an extra long braid, it should be double the length of the others. Put this one on the side, you need this in the end to cover the knot.

6. Now you have to connect the braids with each other. Put the leftover thread into the needle and sew at first the ends of the braids together, then you connect the ends of the ribbons to a loop muffler.

7. Cover the connection spot with the long braid. This braid should also be sewn to the muffler.

1. Most loved pieces stay in the wardrobe – throughout the seasons. Since Murphy’s Law strikes you whenever you are in a hurry and need “the piece”, you will never find it in one of the boxes, somewhere in a dark corner.

2. Wash/clean everything before you pack it away. Also shoes should be cleaned and taken care of, before they go to winter sleep.

3. Use moth pad or paper to fight against the bugs that could potentially eat up your lovely pieces. I prefer small sachets of lavender or cedar wood, smells good, works too and is natural.

4. Extra storage: Boxes! – Available at the trustful Swede. Flat boxes go underneath the bed. High boxes go on top of the wardrobe or to the attic. Shoes you store best in own boxes, boots should be stuffed with paper.

5. Good pieces, that need to hang, should be stored in a suit bag.

6. Good bye or „see you next season“? Ask yourself this question with every piece you take out of your wardrobe. It’s worth it. Get rid of pieces you did not wear for a long time, especially from the things you are already embarrassed by.

7. Get the base for the summer – also the wardrobe needs a small spring-cleaning, before the summer pieces move in.

8. Organize the wardrobe when you put the things back in. Sort by the kind of clothes, then by color – hang the pieces or put them on small piles.

That’s it for the wardrobe. Same applies for accessories (bags, scarfs, jewelry, etc.). Good that I only have one bag…well.

It’s so simple: You take a traditional long shirt (if not just in your closet have a look to the closet of your boyfriend or you have a new reason to go shopping ;)) and attract a sweater over it (which you probably already have in your closet). Yes that’s it! You should be careful that the sweater is not too narrow, and of course matches to the blouse. In addition, it should be shorter than the blouse, so that the blouse peeking out later.

Those who like a little punchy, may resort to the colorful variety. A classic way to wear the look is to combine a white blouse with a black or gray sweater. If the blouse is long enough and you’re brave, you have not even to wear pants under it, except maybe shorts. For the office you should wear skinny pants under it.

The look is absolutely great and also perfect for the changeful April weather. I made a sample collection for you and  a couple of sweaters to choose from.
